Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. Our community values consistent creating, encouragement and suppport and trying new things. We would love to have you join us as a member of Get Messy Art Journal.

This week, my pages seemed to end up almost all the same colors. I pre-prepped most of the pages before I left home (I’m on vacation). I ended up with a bit of extra purple paint from some projects this week, so I used it up in my journal.
I already shared the page on the left last week, but now that I’ve finished the right hand side, here it is again. 🙂
One of my favorite quotes, by Jack Kerouac.
Day dreams. I cut the girl and the birds out of a coloring book I brought with me.
As I mentioned, I was trying to use up some leftover purple paint on this page. I don’t love this spread, but I don’t hate it either, so that’s good.
I painted the galaxy last week, and it fit so well next to this prompt.
After seeing Kam’s pages for the week, I knew I needed to do a pie chart. Kam did hers with papers, but mine is just done with marker.
It was super tough for me to get these pages done this week. I had plenty of time, but I kept thinking “ugh if only I had such and such supply”. Oh, the stuggles of being 1,500 miles from home. I AM enjoying my trip though!
Do you have any travel plans coming up? Will you be taking a sketchbook or journal?
