Melted Crayon Mini Album DIY
Here’s a little tutorial in case you would like to try it.
Lightly sketch out your circle or other shape onto your paper.
Using a candle, get the tip of your crayon really hot so that the wax starts to melt and while the wax is still hot, dab it onto your paper.
It took me a couple of tries at first to figure out how to get a good dot of wax. The trick is to make sure the wax is hot and to place it straight up and down and sort of swirl it in a small circle.
Just play around with the colors, being sure to stay on or inside the line of your shape. You could leave some of the background showing, but I chose to completely fill up my circle with wax dots.
Here are the pages from my mini album. The pictures are from our Christmas vacation, we drove to Gulf Shores, Alabama to hang out on the beach for a week. I love the ocean and I took a lot of close up shell pictures with my new macro lens.
I mixed Studio Calico’s Atlantic papers with some other beachy embellishments and washi tape that I had. I wanted to keep the embellishments to a minimum and have room for journaling.
