Winter Scene Card DIY

Today I’m up on the PWP blog sharing a tutorial on how I created the stamped winter scene on the card above.
I’m super pleased with how this card turned out, I love the stars and the snow, I fell like it really captured a dreamy winter evening! (Not that I’ve seen many of those, living in TX)

Anyhow, If you want to see the DIY, hop on over to the PWP blog.

PWP December Blog Hop

It’s time for the Paper Wings December Blog Hop!  I’m so glad you dropped in for a visit.  If you are coming from Dana’s blog, you are in the right place.  If you just joined in, start at the beginning by clicking here.
Our theme for December is “gold”.  The Paper Wings’ designers have all made projects this month using the color gold.  We hope you will check out each designer’s blog to see what we have created.  Once you have completed the hop, be sure and leave a comment on the Paper Wings blog for your chance to win a $25.00 gift certificate to the Paper Wings Productions online store.
For my card I used these stamp sets- Home Tweet Home, Holiday Tags, Build a Scene and Script – to create this cheery Christmas card. While my stamped scene isn’t gold, I added a lot of gold around it with stamping and embellishments to give it a bit of bling!
I started by combining different stamps to create the Christmas scene below. It’s sort of become a personal goal/challenge to see how many different scenes I can create with this adorable house stamp. So far I’ve done Halloween, Fall and this Christmas scene.
I colored it all with my Copic and Prismacolor markers.
Once I had my scene finished, I created the card base. I stamped the script stamp using gold ink. I also stamped a tag (using the Holiday Tags stamp set) with gold and black ink and attached it with a gold glitter clothespin. I also added a few gold sequins.

For a chance to win all you need to do is:
  • be a follower of the Paper Wings blog, The Aviary
  • visit each of the participating designer’s blogs and leave a comment
  • go back and leave us a comment on the Paper Wings blog telling us you completed the hop
To increase your chances of winning you can like our Facebook page and/or invite your friends to the hop.  Be sure to leave a separate comment for each of your additional entries. The winner will be announced on Tuesday December 9, 2014 on the Paper Wings blog.

It’s time to send you off to Amanda’s blog.

Washi + Lace Tape Christmas Cards

I’m up on the Love my Tapes blog today sharing these 2 Christmas cards I created!
I used LMT lace tapes, washi tapes and their adhesive backed glitter paper, which I used to cut out a Christmas tree on my Brother Scan N Cut machine. I’m really loving that glitter paper!

You can see a tutorial on how I made the lace tape Christmas tree on the LMT blog here.

Copic Colored Birds

Today is the start of the December challenge over on the Paper Wings Productions blog! This months challenge is a pretty simple one- HOLIDAY! All you have to do is create a project with a holiday theme and link it up to the linky tool on the PWP blog.
Here’s my card inspired by the challenge. I just love that adorable little bird stamp from the Holiday Tags stamp set. I think he’s just the tweetest little bird! I stamped him a bunch onto some paper and then colored the little birdies in with my copic and prismacolor markers!

It was a lot of coloring, but I happen to love coloring!

To enter the challenge, hop over to the Paper Wings blog.

Autumn Inspired Cards

Today I’m up on the Love my Tapes blog sharing these 2 cards I created using some lace tape and the new adhesive backed glitter paper that Love my Tapes offers!
The new glitter paper comes in more than 30 colors, but I went for gold for a stunning look on these Autumn cards.

I cut the gold leafs out on my Brother SacnNCut, the paper cut really nice! I’m thrilled with that.

Stamping and Coloring with Copic Markers

This month’s challenge at Paper Wings Productions is “Anything Goes”. So, I grabbed my favorite Paper Wings stamps and my Copic Markers! Have I mentioned that I l-o-v-e Copic markers? I think I might have. 😉
I started just by stamped the cups onto white cardstock using Momento ink. That’s the best ink to use with copic markers, I colored in my teacups using these copic colors:
E15,E18 BG10, BG13,BG72, BG78 B24, B28 G40, G94, G99, RV63, RV66, RV69, V25
That’s pretty much my entire collection of copics, haha! I need more colors. Okay, I want ALL the colors.

Do you use Copics? You can enter the PWP Anything Goes Challenge here.
