Get Messy Friday – Markers

It’s the season of art over at Get Messy, So for the next few weeks I’ll be working in my art journal.

Get Messy Art Journal is an art journaling program that is a school, art playground and family. We are a group of like minded art journalers who have come together under this art form to learn, share, practice our skills and push past our creative limits with hopes to inspire. Our community values consistent creating, encouragement and suppport and trying new things. We would love to have you join us as a member of Get Messy Art Journal.

Hey y’all, It’s Friday again! This week on Get Messy we were focusing on markers!

On the page below I did a bit of collage on the bottom half with the butterflies and then added some journaling on top.

My friend Torrie sent me a package of pretty papers and ephemera recently and included the scripted paper below.

I sketched out the girl, and doodled lines curving around her using Dual Brush Pens,(affiliate link) and washi tape strips fanning out as well.

Torrie also gave me the painted vellum below. I love that it has patterns in white on it. I added it in as a flap and doodled a hand on top.

I also made another page based on last weeks prompts on the Get Messy blog, using acrylic paints. Lots of layers on the background, and then I sketched out the girl and painted white around her.
